Eleanor Ainsworth is a highly respected actress and acting coach with over 20 years of experience in the performing arts. She has worked extensively in theatre, film, and television, earning critical acclaim for her performances in both classical and contemporary roles. As Head of Acting at Blackwood Academy, Eleanor is dedicated to nurturing the talents of aspiring actors and helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the industry.

Eleanor began her acting career at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, where she honed her craft under the guidance of renowned acting teachers. After graduating, she quickly established herself as a versatile and dynamic performer, appearing in numerous stage productions at prestigious theatres such as the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the Old Vic. Her film and television credits include leading roles in critically acclaimed dramas and popular series.

At Blackwood Academy, Eleanor teaches a range of acting courses, including Introduction to Acting, Advanced Scene Study, and Character Development. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every actor possesses a unique artistic voice, and her goal is to help students discover and cultivate that voice. She is known for her ability to create a supportive and challenging learning environment where students feel empowered to take risks, explore their creativity, and push their boundaries.

Eleanor's expertise extends beyond the classroom. She also serves as a mentor to students, providing guidance and support as they navigate the challenges of the acting industry. Her extensive network of industry contacts allows her to connect students with opportunities for auditions, internships, and professional collaborations. Many of her former students have gone on to successful careers in theatre, film, and television.

Alistair Davies is a renowned voice and speech coach with over 15 years of experience working with actors, public speakers, and business professionals. His passion for helping people find their voice and communicate effectively has made him a sought-after instructor at Blackwood Academy. Alistair’s unique approach to voice training combines technical exercises with creative exploration, empowering students to develop a powerful, resonant, and authentic voice.

Alistair holds a Master of Arts degree in Voice Studies from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He has worked as a voice coach for numerous theatre productions, film projects, and television series. His clients include award-winning actors, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, and political figures. He is also a certified instructor in the Linklater Voice Technique, a widely respected method for freeing the natural voice.

At Blackwood Academy, Alistair teaches courses in Voice and Speech for Actors, Accent Reduction, and Public Speaking. His classes focus on developing breath control, vocal resonance, articulation, and projection. He also helps students identify and overcome vocal habits that may be hindering their performance. Alistair's teaching style is warm, supportive, and encouraging, creating a safe space for students to experiment and take risks.

Beyond his teaching duties, Alistair provides one-on-one coaching for actors preparing for auditions and performances. He helps them develop a vocal presence that is both captivating and authentic. He also works with actors to master different accents and dialects, ensuring that their vocal performance is consistent with their character’s background and personality.
